The Snow Sketch....

When I became tired of going outside to split kindling at 30 degrees below zero, I was certain that there must be a better way! Having searched for a product that would allow me to split my kindling inside without wielding an axe; I was surprised to discover that nothing suitable was available. For many months, the idea rattled around in my head until the idea of the Beaver Lever developed! I was lucky to have the expertise of my machinist/designer cousin, Rob Loucks. Within a year the current model of the Beaver Lever was produced.
While working in the bush through the Winter, I drew this sketch in the snow and sent it to Rob during one of many impromptu information exchanges during the process!
